A. Layne Stackhouse


A. Layne Stackhouse is a litigation associate at Shrader & Associates, L.L.P. and a part of the firm’s pharmaceutical and medical device department. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Layne completed her undergraduate work at Western Kentucky University, located in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in print journalism. While at WKU, Layne was both a reporter and an editor for the esteemed university student newspaper, the College Heights Herald. Layne graduated from WKU magna cum laude and headed to law school at the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in the fall of 2007. Layne graduated from Loyola law school in May 2010 in the top 15% of her class. Shortly thereafter, Layne moved to Louisville, Kentucky and took the Kentucky bar in February 2011, officially becoming a licensed attorney in May 2011.

Prior to coming to Shrader & Associates, L.L.P., Layne practiced in Louisville, Kentucky, representing criminal, civil, and family law clients. During her time in Louisville, Layne successfully argued to the Kentucky Court of Appeals on behalf of a personal injury victim. She also secured a substantial jury verdict for car wreck victim in Kentucky state court. Layne’s work at Shrader & Associates, L.L.P. focuses on fighting for the rights of injured victims of defective pharmaceutical drugs and medical devices. Layne has been practicing mass torts since February 2012 and has litigated pharmaceutical cases in state and federal courts across the country.

Layne has been selected by her peers as a Super Lawyers®-Rising Star, 2014-2015. Layne is licensed in Kentucky, the Western District of Kentucky, the Eastern District of Kentucky, and plans on becoming a member of the Texas Bar in May 2016. She is also a member of the American Association for Justice (formerly ATLA), where she serves on several committees and was chosen to be part of AAJ’s distinguished inaugural Leadership Academy class.
