William C. Shrader


Mr. Shrader was born in McAllen, Texas on September 16, 1943, and was graduated from Highland Park High School, Dallas, Texas, Texas Tech University (Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance) and Southern Methodist University School of Law (Juris Doctor). Following graduation from law school, Mr. Shrader received an appointment as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, United States Department of Justice. In 1972, Mr. Shrader joined Redman Development Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Redman Industries, a New York Stock Exchange corporation and was primarily responsible for the company’s multi-family development activities in several southeastern states, including Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and North and South Carolina. Later areas of responsibility included Texas, Missouri, Kansas and Colorado. In 1972, Redman Development Corporation was the largest developer of multi-family housing units in the United States. In 1973, Mr. Shrader became General Counsel of Jetero Corporation, a publicly held company headquartered in Houston, Texas, that in 1973 and 1974 was the largest developer of multi-family housing in the United States. Mr. Shrader was primarily responsible for all legal affairs of the company, including financing, land acquisition, syndication, construction, development, SEC and other governmental compliance matters. In 1975, Mr. Shrader entered private law practice in Houston, Texas, where he has specialized in commercial real estate law, complex business matters and structured finance transactions representing clients in Texas, the United States and in foreign countries. He has had primary responsibility for major lease negotiations for landlords and tenants, complex financial structuring transactions in the United States and foreign countries, publicly held corporate merger and acquisition transactions, private and public securities placement transactions and large multi-use real estate development projects from inception to completion. Mr. Shrader has been rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and Peer Attorney Rating Service since 1980 and recently received the Martindale-Hubbell “AV Preeminent” which is the highest attainable lifetime rating in legal ability and ethical standards. Mr. Shrader has been active in fund-raising efforts for various non-profit organizations in Houston since 1975.
